CAB operates a system of Gateway interviews. This means that
clients no longer need to book an appointment in advance: instead, they
can come in for a brief initial assessment, and the adviser will then
arrange an appropriate follow-up.
Gateway interviews are
available at the following times*:
Monday: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon
Tuesday: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon
Wednesday: 11.00 am to 1.00 pm
Thursday: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon
Friday: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon
*Please ensure you arrive early, as these sessions are held on a first-come-first-served basis.
Telephone Gateways are also available by calling 01325 256 999 (option 4) and are available at the following times:
Monday: 10.00 am to 2.00 pm
Tuesday: 10.00 am to 2.00 pm and 4.00 - 6.00pm
Wednesday: 10.00 am to 2.00 pm
Thursday: 10.00 am to 2.00 pm
Friday: 10.00 am to 2.00 pm
Important
In order to save time and make your visit to the Bureau more productive:
- If your enquiry concerns Debt, please bring all letters and documents relating to what money you owe and how much money you have coming into your household.
- If your enquiry concerns Welfare Benefits, please bring all relevant letters and documents relating to how much money you have coming into your household.
- If your enquiry concerns Housing, please bring your tenancy agreement with you, if you have one.
- If your enquiry concerns Employment, please bring your contract with you, if you have one.
Without these documents, we may need to see you again before we can deal effectively with your enquiry.
If
it is necessary to refer you to one of our Specialists under the Legal
Help Scheme, we will need to establish your eligibility: this will
require our seeing proof of income for the previous month.
